The Centenarians
An ongoing project that started as a celebration of 100 Years of Olympus Cameras in 2019 and formed part of a group exhibition of 100 year olds from all walks of life.
The people I have photographed so far they include Dunkirk veterans, WW2 Wrens, a 100 year old climate protestor, a Polish prisoner of War who joined the RAF and flew spitfires over London in the Blitz, a famous classical composer, a 101 year old man who trains at the gym most mornings and an English actress from Radio 4’s The Archers to name a few…
“To meet these wonderful people has been inspiring and humbling. Their life stories are truly amazing and I can only imagine how much they all gave to their country and community supporting each other throughout the hardship of World War in defence of our freedom. I hope their stories live on and resonate to what is possible if people come together for a brighter future.”
